Kim graduated with a BA Hons. in 3 Diamensional Design Ceramics from the Surrey Institute of Art and Design. Her work is influenced by seasonal changes in nature and is primarily reflected in simplicity, structure form and light. Kim slab builds vessels and bowls with earthstone and porcelain clays, various soft matt glazes are used and the relief work finished with lustres.
