Open Access Printmaking workshops at Cupola
Cupola's social enterprise is launching a series of open access print workshops at the gallery. The gallery recently held a 'pilot' session which was extremely well received, with those taking part impatient to do it all again! So, we are happy to announce the following:
What: Untutored printmaking workshops. Small etching press available suitable for drypoint, collograph and lino cut prints. Ink and tools are provided and paper and easy cut lino are available to purchase at cost.
Where: Cupola Contemporary Art, 178a Middlewood Road, Sheffield S6 1TD
Who: 16 years+ and suitable for those with some experience/understanding of the process.
Fee: £5 per session plus materials at cost.
A member of staff will be on hand to help and offer some guidance but this is about offering a facility for those who wish to experiment or improve the skills they have.
"These workshops are intended to be relaxed and informal, where people do not feel under pressure. We want people to simply enjoy being creative. The fee will go towards our funds for the social enterprise which just recently delivered a creative learning programme 'Bringing learning to life' supported by 'Awards for All' big lottery programme." Karen Sherwood, Managing Director.
A maximum of 8 places are available for each session, so it is important that you reserve a place. To book please call Karen or Graham on 0114 285 2665 or email info@cupolagallery.com
The social enterprise is always looking for active board members and or volunteers as well as ideas or support so feel free to get in touch as we'd love to hear from you.
Kind regards,
Karen

Chair of the board of Directors.
