35 Year Anniversary Show - Open Call for entries.

Established in 1991 Cupola remains one of the most respected contemporary galleries for the sale and exhibition of fine art & fine craft in the north of England. This year is our 35th Anniversary 1991 - 2026 and we think that’s bloody amazing! We are inviting artists old and new to submit to be part of our 35th celebration open exhibition. We wish to celebrate the diversity of work and talent of artists whose work we have had the honour of exhibiting over all this time.
Our 35th Anniversary show is open to everyone, whether you have exhibited with us before or not.
The exhibition dates are 11 July - 6 Septmber with an preview evening opening on Friday 10th July 7-9pm
We welcome all sorts of submissions, but please be aware that this will be along the lines of a salon hang, as space is limited.
What this means is that although we welcome the submission of larger pieces, it will be much harder to include them.
We accept work in almost any medium, however all works must be for sale, so although installation pieces, text based works and sound are welcome, they must have a “commercial” element to them, whether as artist multiples or other media that is purchasable.
To make this special there will be prizes awarded during the exhibition. Details of the awards will be announced at a later date.

Submission Guidelines
Artists may submit up to 4–6 works for consideration or a collection of works for functional ware.
Gift items should be original & handmade.
All selected works must be clearly labelled and ready for display.
Artists are responsible for the cost of delivery and collection of work.
All works must be available for sale throughout the exhibition.
All works selected must reach us before Friday 3rd July. You do not have to deliver in person and any in person deliveries must be made mon - fri. ONLY POSTAL DELIVERIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE WEEKEND
Commission & Terms
There is no fee for exhibiting or submitting
Standard gallery commission rates apply. Commision is set at 50% after VAT
All sales will be handled by Cupola Contemporary Art.
Unsold works must be collected by arrangement following the exhibition or returned via post at the artist's expense.
To work out the overall price of your work, please use the following formula:
Your wholesale price x 2.2 = retail, including the VAT we have to charge. ie. £100 x 2.2 = £220. £100 to artist, £100 to gallery £20 to HMRC.
