Eleni Koumara

Jeweller

Eleni Koumara was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, where her passion for jewellery began at an early age. She participated in her first group exhibition at just 17 years old, and while studying Computer Engineering at university, she discovered the art of silversmithing in 2008 under the guidance of Greek jeweller Manolis Manimanakis. From that moment on, jewellery became her creative language. Largely self-taught, she continued to develop her craft while pursuing a career as a web developer.

After graduating, Eleni moved to London to further refine her skills at Central Saint Martins. In 2016, she made the decision to leave her career in software development and dedicate herself fully to founding Eni Jewellery.

Since launching the brand, Eleni has embraced an environmentally conscious approach to jewellery making, working with recycled precious metals and sustainable practices. She is also among the jewellers certified to work with Fairtrade Gold and Silver.

Her work has been recognised with an Award of Excellence from the National Association of Jewellers (UK) and has been exhibited internationally, including the Contemporary Jewellery Association of China, the China Fashion Week, the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology (BIFT), and the 3rd Shanghai Biennale. Her collections have been showcased in exhibitions across the UK, Europe, and China, and she has collaborated with internationally recognised retailers and platforms including Fine Matter, Farfetch, Wolf & Badger, and SEEKD. Her jewellery has also been featured by publications such as British Vogue, SWITCH, and the National Association of Jewellers.

Alongside her jewellery practice, Eleni has maintained a lifelong passion for philosophy. That curiosity has recently brought her back to academia, where she is pursuing a PhD exploring the intersection of Ancient Greek Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence.
