Rick's Fast Art Takeaway

Fancy winning the Turner Fries?

Yes, you read that correctly - not the Turner Prize, but the Turner Fries!  From the warped, but rather ingenious mind of artist Richard Bolam comes 'Rick's Fast Art Takeaway'.

So, what is it?

Rick's Fast Art Takeaway is comprised of free, mini-workshops for children and readymade fast-art (pizza, beans on toast, etc) available for sale to adults at takeaway prices. The fast-art is made from discarded materials and all takings are donated, split between the Archer Project and the S6 foodbank, supporting homeless and vulnerable people in Sheffield.

Rick has been in residence in Orchard Square in Sheffield, but now comes out to Hillsborough to Cupola Gallery for two dates:

Sunday 3, Sunday 10 & Sunday 17 December, 12-4pm

Venue: Cupola Gallery, 178a Middlewood Road Sheffield S6 1TD

There is no fee for taking part in the mini workshops, which are suitable for all abilities and all ages.

"We are deligthed to welcome Rick to Cupola. Come and enjoy some 'fast art' whilst supporting good causes.  Have a bit of fun and spread some festive cheer this season."  Karen Sherwood, Director.

Rick’s Fast Art Takeaway is part of Making Ways, a new programme supported by Sheffield Culture Consortium through Arts Council England to showcase, celebrate and develop the exceptional contemporary visual art produced in the city.
