Between One Moment and the Next brings together paintings grounded in observation yet charged with atmosphere. Beginning in familiar, often overlooked urban spaces - suburban streets, junctions, the edges of car parks.

Louise transforms fleeting shifts in light into something almost cinematic. A Yorkshire‑based artist, she draws inspiration from moments of “dead time” such as traffic standstills, using these pauses to observe how place, movement and emotion intersect. Vehicles pushing through urban streets become metaphors for the journeys we make, carrying both solitude and the quiet pressure of time. 

Working intuitively in oils, she builds and scrapes back layers, allowing each painting to settle between realism and abstraction, holding the sensation of a moment as it passes.
